Community Science
We are always looking for additional monitors to help catalog the living things that make
WRNP home. We have opportunities for you to join standardized programs with specific protocols or individual activities you can do when it is convenient for you. No experience necessary. Our citizen science data flows into wider local, regional, state and national databases.

Individual Monitoring
eBird—Bird lovers can visit the park at any time and make a list of birds they observed. Please indicate West Ridge Nature Park as the location. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology-run program will confirm and record data.
iNaturalist—You can use an app called Seek to submit data, which is then catalogued. Supported life forms include birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fish, mollusks, arachnids, insects, plants, fungi, protozoans. Please do not closely approach or disrupt wildlife for this! inaturalist.org
